[L40 Ultra] Turning faulty over time and missing essential features

The most annoying thing (1) is over time, the robot stopped using water to mop during the first job (after a long idle).
We would constantly need to send it back to the base station wherafter it would use water and the floor is finally wet when mopping. No changes in any settings, just return home and rerun last task.

The other thing is (2), over time, it also stopped cleaning in straight lines. It is set to follow the lines of the floor, and it did that in the beginning pretty ok. But over time, its lines get crooked more and more!

Now the last thing on my mind (3) is, the robot is pretty stupid when mopping. Cause it does not know when its internal tank is empty!!! How could Dreame possibly forget to add such an essential feature! Once the internal water tank is empty, it continues mopping with NO WATER!!!

After months, we waited hopeful for a solution. Fw update after update, and nothing is getting solved. It seems to be getting worse. We are now fed up and are sending it back for repairs. For 850EURO we expected more from Dreame. We are very disappointed.
If we get our money back, we are going to Roborock.
Unless these issues are solved!!!

Its also very easy to make up a calculation for the water usage and send the robot back to refill its water reservoir. There’s absolutely no point in mopping when there is no water in the reservoir!!

So we received the robot back. Not once did the team contact us to ask about the issues. Now we received it back without any repairs done to it. There are no objects obstructing the wheels.

Roborock is niets beter hoor.

So we noticed a change in the robot’s behavior.
The “repair” actually turned on a function where the robot will start cleaning its mop pads BEFORE it starts cleaning!
This is a workaround, not a solution. Its wasting more energy, more water and more soap!
Please think of another solution for the issue i have! Which is after a long idle (many hours) a mop task will start mopping without ANY water! The above workaround works, but is very inefficient. And we have to wait for it to finish cleaning its pads (which will trigger the water reservoir refill) before we can take it to the upper floor for cleaning!! Please come up with a more solid solution and investigate the issue properly!!

Hello, after cleaning the mop pad, remove the mop pad from the mop pad holder. Attach only the mop pad holder to the robot. Start a mopping task from the base station. Wait five minutes and check for water droplets on the floor.

If no water comes out after the above test, the robot may not be able to dispense water while mopping.

Please remove the mop pad holder and poke the water outlet on the bottom of the robot with a wire, toothpick, or other object (see the attached image). Check again to see if the robot can mop normally.
